Lost your friend to a new priority?

Does anyone else feel like they've lost a friend to a new baby/boyfriend/job/friendship group? Sometimes our friends seem to lose our friendship and put something else first. If you have felt like this, did you resolve it or did you end up drifting?

Sometimes, a friend can be really absorbed by some specific things in their life. But this is mostly something reasonable.
When they truly drift away, it's way more sad. The "reason" is often the fact something changed them, more than something took their time, and their new "me" doesn't really match you in their head. Sometimes they don't even notice it themselves. They just, gradually go.

It happened to me, I've been in both sides of this situation. Sadly, if it's not someone's weird paranoid thought, it is permanent.
